My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby is a vibrant and spirited 6-year-old cattle dog mix with a heart as big as her personality! She's a lifelong companion who embodies the true essence of why dogs are considered man's best friend. Ruby's lively and spunky nature makes her the perfect match for those who love an active lifestyle. If you're a beach goer or an adventure seeker, Ruby will be your ultimate sidekick, always ready for the next exciting escapade. Whether it's chasing waves on the shore or hiking through the great outdoors, Ruby is up for any adventure that comes her way.

One of Ruby's standout qualities is her eagerness to please. She thrives on human interaction and is always overjoyed to see people. Coming home to Ruby is like receiving a breath of fresh air after a long and tiring day-her warm and loving demeanor instantly lifts your spirits. While Ruby is a social butterfly with people, she would prefer to be the only pet in her forever home. This princess deserves to be the center of attention, soaking up all the love and affection you have to offer. Due to her high energy levels and size, Ruby is best suited for older children.

Ruby's striking mix of intelligence and charm will undoubtedly make her the heart of your household. With her by your side, you'll not only gain a loyal companion but also a source of endless joy and entertainment. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.

Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.

Adoption Fees:
Cats (over 6 months of age): $60
Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
Puppies (under 6 months of age): $140
Seniors ages 60 and up qualify for discounted adoptions fees.
