Nickel is the epitome of sweetness - with his soulful eyes and gentle demeanor, he's sure to capture your heart from the moment you meet him. While he may be a little bashful at first, it doesn't take long for Nickel to warm up and show his true colors. With a wagging tail and a grateful heart, he's always eager to make new friends and share his love with those around him. One of Nickel's favorite pastimes is indulging in delicious treats and basking in the affection of his humans. Whether it's a tasty biscuit or a scratch behind the ears, he thrives on the love and attention showered upon him. Nickel's love language is simple - treats and cuddles are all he needs to feel happy and content. Nickel is heartworm positive and we must raise $605.00 before he can be adopted. To meet Nickel, please call 843-249-4948, or you can submit an application at https://humanesocietynmb.org/dog-adoption-form/

HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.
Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.
Adoption Fees:
Cats (over 6 months of age): $60
Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
Puppies (under 6 months of age): $140
Seniors ages 60 and up qualify for discounted adoptions fees.
