My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee:  $300.00

Daltrey is a 7 yo Black & Tan male weighing approximately 65 lbs.  As a stray his history is unknown to us, although there is evidence of a rough life in his past with fly strikes on his ears and a scar on his muzzle.  Despite this, he shares nothing but gentle warm affection with the people he meets.

This boy has lived in foster homes with multiple dogs, large and small, and will do best in a home that offers their company.  He gets along with indoor cats and kittens very well, but he may be enticed to chase the ones outdoors. Thus, supervision with outdoor kitties will be necessary to ensure their safety.  Inside the home, his old soul is perfectly content to spend time laying near his human.  Offer him affectionate pets and he will lavishly melt into your hands for ear and belly rubs with glee.  Due to his strong attachment to his people, he may have tendencies to chew on many items in his reach when left alone. However, with consistent training, he has become accustomed to resting calmly in a crate along with his fellow dog mates while his people are away for periods of time.

Daltrey has learned to walk well on a leash and will ignore other dogs along the way.  He also tends to stay close without wandering while exploring the outdoors. Daltrey is housebroken and accustomed to using a dog door.  While he is quite eager to join you on a car ride, he will need crate containment if left alone in the vehicle. This guy is very food motivated and will sniff out delectables on tabletops or garbage bins if not secured.  At night Daltrey sleeps quietly on a dog bed or open dog crate. He is eager to please and rapidly developed excellent house manners to become a charming and delightful house mate.
