My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Taz and I am a young (~1 yr old) Australian cattle dog mix. I have had a bit of a "ruff" start in life; but, my future is looking much brighter now that I am in rescue with Herding Haven. I was adopted from the shelter and returned 3 times! The first two were b/c I had a lot of puppy energy that my owners didn't know how to handle and the last one was b/c we lost our home and my owner could no longer take care of me. I am a sweet, funny, energetic boy looking for an active family who will take me on lots of adventures. Although I am full of puppy playfulness, have a great "off switch" and love to cuddle on the couch with you when our fun day is done. I currently live in a foster home with two other dogs and I love playing with them. They don't mind my nippy herding play style (but some dogs might find it a bit offensive). Because of my herding tendencies, I would not be a good fit for a family with small/young children. Older (>13 yr), dog-savvy kids would be OK, I am super smart and already know how to sit, "high five", lie down and come. I know how to use a doggy door and am learning to be "ok" in a crate.
