My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dog Name: Rogue

Sex: Female

Age: 7 years old

Weight: about 60lbs

Medical Needs: None

Housebroken:Yes

Crate trained:Yes. She will go in her kennel with a treat. She will pull on her crate if she thinks another dog is getting attention or going on a walk without her. This only happened once during her lockdown period at her foster home.

Good in the car: Yes. She sits in the backseat and looks out the window. If the car is parked and her people are near the car, like while getting gas, she will climb the seats to be as close to them as possible

Good on a leash: Yes. She does pull at times but not hard. She loves her walks and will beg for them on a nightly basis.

Energy level: In the house she tends to be relaxed and enjoys cuddling or playing with her bone. Outside she gets the zoomies by herself or will run and play with my other dog.

Need a fenced in yard: She enjoys it but if she is taken on daily long walks she may not need it. She loves to roll in the grass and sun herself. She does need to be observed while in the yard. She will begin to dig at the fence if she sees something on the other side of the fence that interests her. This does include her people.

Dog Friendly: Yes with appropriate introductions. She needs some space when she’s eating. She is not a fan if another dog tries to eat her food while she’s eating. She has not shown any concern if a human gets near or touches her food when she’s eating.

If yes, does your foster need another dog in its adoptive homes? Rogue enjoys playing with my dog, especially playing and running outside. Inside, they lay together. I think she would be ok as an only dog as long as her humans play with and exercise her daily.

Cat Friendly? Not tested

Kid Friendly: Rogue has lived with young children and not had any concerns.

If yes, what's the youngest child you'd recommend they be placed with? With supervision, Rogue would be a good fit with any age. She does not jump when she meets new people regardless how excited she gets.

Special traits that make your foster special or that we need to know about them?

Rogue enjoys human interactions. She loves to be scratched under her collar and on her belly when she presents it. She is a huge fan of walks. Yes, you need to spell it out in front of her, though I think her spelling is improving. If you get too close to her leash, you need to be ready for your walk too. She loves to give kisses and is very vocal when she wants attention. She’s not a big barker unless something really concerns her which is very rare.
