My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Mika!

She urgently needs a home where she can be your only pet. This “young” googley-eyed 👀 12 year old still has a lot of energy for an old lady. She’s said to be Shih tzu mixed with Jack Russell, though she looks more like schnauzer or cairn mixed in there 🤷‍♀️. She’s a sweet girl but tends to be a one-person girl- man or woman, once she bonds she thinks she needs to protect that person from threats real or only in her mind. She gets along with dogs but doesn’t like sharing attention with them and would prefer to be the only loved one in your life. Her elderly owner passed away, and she is temporarily staying with a relative, but needs to be separated from the other dogs in the household and isn’t happy sharing the attention. She’s in pretty good shape for an old lady- perfect bloodwork, just has chronic dry eye in one eye and is on prescription eye drops longterm which she allows easily.

Please email njwoof@cs.com to meet her in Northern NJ if you are looking for a loyal best friend and constant companion!
