My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wilson is a shy cat that will need some time to get used to trusting people. He was brought to the shelter in Feb 2023 when his outdoor home was no longer able to be managed by his caretakers which meant he would be without food and water. He was already neutered and microchipped when he was part of a TNR program years before. Wilson has paid the price of living the hard outdoor life and is ready for the safety and patience of a home. Wilson gets along well with other cats and enjoys his wet food. He will need a home that will accept him as he is and give him all the time he needs. He has tested negative for FIV.

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
