My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the beautiful, active and charming Acorn, a striking female with a dark brindle coat that's as beautiful as the autumn leaves. This active and happy pup brings a sense of joy and adventure to every moment of her life.

With lots of energy and a zest for exploration, Acorn is always ready for the next escapade. Whether it's chasing after a ball, romping through the park, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll, she embraces every opportunity to experience the world around her.

As an adventurous soul, Acorn is an ideal companion for those who love the great outdoors. She's always up for a hike in the woods, a day at the beach, or a cozy campfire under the stars. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious, reminding us all to savor the simple pleasures and find happiness in the little things.

Acorn's journey is a testament to the resilience and beauty of rescue animals. Thanks to the compassionate hearts at Bone Voyage Dog Rescue, Acorn was given a second chance to thrive in a loving home. Now, she's ready to share her zest for life with a forever family who will cherish her adventurous spirit and affectionate nature.

Are you ready to embark on life's adventures with this loving companion and kindred spirit waiting to fill your days with joy, love, and unforgettable moments?

Acorn is fostered in Chapala, MX and can be adopted locally or to parts of the US and Canada.

More about this rescue

Bone Voyage is a non-profit rescue group created to send Mexican dogs north to better homes. We work with the local shelters and with people in the Lake Chapala area that have many street dogs in their care.

We also assist individuals that find street dogs and don’t know what to do with them. We are all volunteers working together to try to minimize the amount of homeless dogs in the area.
