Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jake is a beautiful mix breed dog. From his photos you can see his sweet face and beautiful golden coat. He was severely malnourished but now has hit his ideal weight of about 43 pounds. His general behavior pegs him to be about 4 to 5 years old. Although Jake was treated poorly and was severely neglected, he is sweet and friendly to people he meets. He lives alongside another dog in his foster home very well and that relationship seems to provide reassurance to him. He really seems to enjoy the companionship of other dogs although he doesn’t actively play with them. He is friendly toward cats, loves to play with his toys and especially likes to fetch his ball. Jake has good house manners. He is housebroken, doesn’t chew and behaves well when left alone for a few hours. He is not crated. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash but enjoys the freedom of a fenced in yard and dog park. Jake is friendly toward children and would make a great addition to a family. Jake is up to date on his shots and is neutered. If you would like to meet him, please call Teri at 630-897-7454. The adoption fee is $225.
