My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ZIGGY would like to be the only cat in his new home.

***IN FOSTER***

It's time for a change of venue, and Ziggy the cat is all in!

Meet Ziggy, a handsome tabby boy who was a cherished pet before the passing of his person made it necessary for him to find a new forever home. He has been described by those who know him as a sweet and social boy who loves people and attention. His love for people can cause him to be a little clingy, so he's looking for someone who can't resist the love of a velcro cat!

Ziggy's foster family reports that he is a confident, chatty, and happy cat who constantly asks for as many cuddles as possible. He loves to snuggle first thing in the morning and enjoys sitting on any available lap throughout the day. He is quite the character, who has intense zoomies (especially after using his litter box), and a passion for playing. To make sure he's the centre of attention, he'll give head bonks and rub against legs. He definitely loves his people! As Ziggy continues to gain confidence in his foster home, his neediness has continued to subside. He seems less distressed when his foster mum leaves, and is definitely calmer during the day, often enjoying watching the goings-on outside from his cat perch.

Another unique feature is his eating habits--you can sometimes find him fishing his dry food out of his bowl, enjoying each and every morsel. Ziggy is a grazer and likes to eat on his own schedule. A curious soul, he often peeks to see what delicacy his foster mum has on her plate once he's finished his own meal. All good Ziggy, your feistiness certainly helps you maintain your svelte figure!

Ziggy's past encounters with the younger crowd are unknown, but we do know that dogs should not be part of his future dwelling. A family with older children will likely suit him just fine. The ideal adopter will provide Ziggy with the love and attention he craves, while encouraging his friendly, playful nature to shine through.

Would you like to help Ziggy write his forever story? He would like the ending to read: "And he lived happily ever after!" Fill out an adoption application today!

The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...or, double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption.
