Alejandro is one of "the Spanish 6," a group of cats with charming Spanish names that recently arrived at EHS from another municipal shelter. Shrouded in mystery, not much is known about this quiet boy, except that he's on a journey to find his forever home.
This young man is still very reserved and is trying to adjust to his new environment. His first days were spent guarding his litter box, not wanting to leave his comfort zone, and feeling scared when anyone came near. As Alejandro started to warm up, he began meowing when no one was around, singing in his sweet voice. Though he may currently shy away from the spotlight, beneath his timid exterior lies a heart as fiery as the flamenco dancers that grace the streets of Seville.
While Alejandro is still getting to know some other friendly felines, it's unknown if he enjoys their presence. He may thrive in the company of a fellow companion, but he hasn't found the right one just yet. Once he taps into his confidence, the top priority for this Spanish dancer is a home full of vibrant energy where he can feel comfortable dancing around and showing off his flare.
Alejandro is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. He is currently enrolled in EHS's socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help him become more comfortable around people. There have been many successful graduates from this program, but potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Alejandro along this journey. It should be noted that while some skittish cats might remain reserved, others may express their trust and affection in a variety of ways. A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Alejandro with a successful transition to his forever home. He needs someone or a family who understands that he is still discovering himself before he shows everyone his passionate, loving heart.
Alejandro's steps echo the rhythm of his untold story. Are you ready to unveil the depths of his graceful choreography? -------------------- The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200...Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption. -------------------- Interested in adopting Alejandro? It's easy!
