My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***AT SHELTER***

Spice up your life with Pimiento!

His name suggests a hot and fiery personality but, at the moment, Pimiento is still a bit shy as he settles in at EHS. It's early days yet, but we think there's probably more chill than chili to Pimiento.

Found on the streets of the GTA, Pimiento was cared for at a municipal shelter until he made his way to EHS. He's a big, strong, handsome fellow with striking brown and white tabby markings on his beautiful coat. A sweet, calm boy, Pimiento really loves chin and cheeks scratches as well as a gentle brushing. If you're lucky, he may roll over for a belly rub. To get him active, bring on the wand toy and let him show you his moves! He's gradually letting his curiosity get the better of him and taking advantage of his "out time" to get to know to his kennel mates and the shelter volunteers.

Pimiento would do well with an adopter who will give him the attention he needs to feel loved and encourage his playful side. He is interested in other cats, but we can't say at this point if he will accept dogs or fare well with small children. We are certain, however, that Pimiento will bring a savoury mix of love, joy, and hope to his forever family!

Pimiento is a skittish cat who has had minimal experience with humans. He is currently enrolled in EHS's socialization program, where dedicated volunteers are working to help him become more comfortable around people. There have been many successful graduates from this program, but potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Pimiento along this journey. It should be noted that while some skittish cats might remain reserved, others may express their trust and affection in a variety of ways. A skittish cat will benefit from a calm, quiet environment, preferably without small children. EHS will provide post-adoption support to assist Pimiento with a successful transition to his forever home.

--------------------
The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175. Take home an adult feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $300! For kittens under six months of age, the adoption fee is $200 ... Or double your cuteness quotient and adopt two wee furballs for $350! If you mix and match (kitten plus cat), the adoption fee is $300. Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Kittens are not spayed or neutered until 5 months of age, but the cost of spay/neuter will be covered as part of the adoption.
