*Charmin cannot go home until he has been neutered. He is currently scheduled to be neutered on Friday, April 7th. He can still accept visitors and volunteers in the meantime!*
Meet Charmin!
This beautiful boy arrived at HSoP as a stray and is estimated to be about 1 year old. Sweet Mr. Charmin was found with several porcupine quills in his face and chest, but never let it dull his spirit. He was shy toward our staff at first but quickly understood we were trying to help. In a kennel full of barking, excited dogs, you'll see him sitting peacefully, waiting to be let out or interacted with. Charmin is a gentle giant, and soft just like his name suggests. He can be a little timid around new people, but warms up quickly through sniffs, play, and treats!
We don't know much about Charmin's history, but we do know that he's an absolute goofball who likes to prance around and play-bow every chance he gets. He doesn't seem to know many commands, but he is highly treat-motivated which can help with training. Charmin is suspected to be a Great Pyrenees Mix and weighed 54.5lbs on intake. We aren't sure how Charmin gets along with other dogs, but we do require a meet and greet with any other canines in the home before Charmin can leave HSoP. We also offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption to ensure it's a good fit for the whole family.
