My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Have you ever wanted to live with a parkour enthusiast? Like the sounds of an amateur stalker who still gives you space for whatever you're doing? Don't believe a dog can bark with his whole body? Do we have the ginger boy for you.

Ralph loves making new people friends, but wants to be the only fur baby in your life. He is potty / crate trained and knows all of his basic commands. This boy is a people pleaser who is happiest while learning new things you teach him.

Ralph loves his balls and stuffies and wants a furever partner who will dedicate time to play with him every day. Ralph insists on playing with older children as his zoomies can sometimes be mistaken for an out-of-control ballistic missle. He loves bacon and understands it might take an eight-hour day to bring some home. That's why he is non-destructive and completely comfortable spending time in his crate.

Over the last six months, Ralph has improved his daily stroll around the neighborhood but would like to spend more time working with you on his pulling on leash. Ralph is also a busy guy who would prefer that you manage his toy collection to avoid any issues with guarding or overstimulation. His heart is so full (of worms) but treatment will be finished this fall.
If Ralph sounds like the pawfect partner for you or your family, act now because supplies are limited.

More about this rescue

Second Chance” is not a second chance for dogs, because that would presume they had a first chance and failed. The majority of the dogs we rescue never had any chances, first, second, or otherwise. The name of our rescue refers to giving humans a second chance to provide a safe, healthy, and loving home and environment for our dogs, since most of these dogs come to us after they have been abused or neglected by their owners.

SCF solely relies on volunteers to get the work done and no one receives compensation for their work. SCF receives no funding from the government or the United Way. Our adoption fees and donations from other dog lovers cover our costs.
