Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Britt is a very sweet girl. She is a little timid with new people and can get overstimulated quickly. Britt would benefit from a structured household where she can learn from a strong pack leader that will give her what she needs.
She is unsure of dogs and how to interact with them so we are recommending she be the only pet. No kitties or small children either please.
Britt is house broken, crate trained and like to go for walks or play in the yard. We will ask for a home for her (no apt / condo) as she needs a fenced in space.
Britt is healthy, 5 years old and 55lbs. She is Spayed and Heartworm negative.

Part of the application process is that we verify vet references, background checks and property checks as well which sometimes takes time.

Second Chance” is not a second chance for dogs, because that would presume they had a first chance and failed. The majority of the dogs we rescue never had any chances, first, second, or otherwise. The name of our rescue refers to giving humans a second chance to provide a safe, healthy, and loving home and environment for our dogs, since most of these dogs come to us after they have been abused or neglected by their owners.
SCF solely relies on volunteers to get the work done and no one receives compensation for their work. SCF receives no funding from the government or the United Way. Our adoption fees and donations from other dog lovers cover our costs.
