My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Mac! This boy did not have a good life before he found himself in a rural shelter. When he came to the shelter, he was heartworm positive. He also tested positive for Lyme and Erlichia. He has undergone treatment and is doing well. However, he still has trouble with his voice and trachea due to an earlier injury of being shot over 100 times with bird shot. Mac has now put all that behind him and is enjoying his daily meals, naps in the sun, and having been treated for all the health issues he had, we are sure he is feeling better too. Mac loves other animals, car rides, and walks. He doesn’t particularly like staying in a crate for long but after being crated for Heartworm treatment for a few months, who can blame him? Mac is learning his name and basic commands. A fenced yard is a must because Mac loves to sniff and explore the yard. Mac is neutered, chipped, vaccinated, and current on all preventatives. He is working on house manners and is around three years old and under 50 lbs. Despite his rough past, Mac is a friendly, easy going dog. His spirit is loving and all he needs is a good home. Mac is just waiting to give you love and receive love back. Mac will change your life for the better. Approved application, home visit, and adoption donation of $200 required. Mac is located in the Myrtle Beach, SC area.
