My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rusty is a distinguished older gentleman with lots of pep in his step and the cutest wiggly little nub of a tail ever! In his most recent home he did well with small dogs and was housebroken. His former people described him as playful and affectionate and said that he loves toys and hiking.

“He loves long walks and is cheerful when he meets new people.”

Here’s what Rusty’s volunteer fans have said about him:

“Rusty was very wiggly in his kennel when I approached but kept four feet politely on the floor as I easily leashed him. We had a very nice walk together. He was an easy walker, keeping a loose leash the whole time. Return to kennel was also easy. A very sweet boy!”

“Rusty is a big sweet bouncy boy! He was super happy to greet me at the kennel door this morning and came bounding out. Once outside he bounced around on our walk. He was very interested in the remote control boats on the lake; I think he would have loved to have jumped in! He is a very sweet and loving boy; we sat down for a few minutes and he climbed right into my lap- all 75 lbs of him! Very good boy.”

“Rusty is a great dog! Easy to leash and easy to return to kennel. Walks like a dream, nothing seems to interest or bother him. He’s very chill, likes to get pets- just a really even keel dog who’d make a great companion.”

“Rusty is a sweet older pup! He was friendly when I met him for the first time and was patient as I leashed him up to go for a walk. He was an easy, curious walker. He wasn`t too interested in the people or dogs we passed. Easy to return to kennel.”

What else do you need to know!?! Rusty would like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good match and is looking for a home without cats or other small pets. Ask to meet Rusty today!!
