Ellie came to us for training due to her stranger danger/feral behavior. We have worked hard on her new greeting behaviors, outlet for her energy and training. She is an active dog with great potential and she will reward her owners with a very dedicated life of love and a dog that loves to be active! She would be best in a home with just her maybe another male dog around her age and a quiet home. (not a lot of parties, NO kids or grandkids, etc) I would love to see her in a home that likes to hike, play fetch, maybe do some competitive obedience. She likes people especially women once she gets to trust people. She does well with management/training and exposure to new things, she will need continuing education on training for impulse control and allowing the time she needs to meet new people. Once she has an understanding of what is expected of her when meeting new people she is great with them! Easy in the crate, and house setting and out in the back yard. She loves to curl up after a good play session and cuddle on the couch with her loved ones. See her profile here: https://azbcr.org/Adopt/AvailableBorderCollies/RescueDetails.aspx?rid=5258

After a brief Home Check, we will match you with dogs. You will visit them at their fosters so you get a taste how they are in a home env.
Additional adoption info
We have a 3-step adoption process to make sure you find the right dog for your family.
First you fill out an application, and then you will have a phone interview to find out just what type of dog you are looking for and if you are familiar with the breed. Next you will be scheduled for a home visit to better assess your needs and the appropriate activity level and age of a potential dog adoption. Last but most important you will be scheduled to meet the Border Collies that would suit you and your family the best for a long happy life together.
