My name is Irene. I was a momma dog at the shelter. My puppies have all grown up and gone to a foster home- now it's my time to shine. I'm great on a leash and enjoy neighborhood walks. When we go outside for a walk, I collect sticks and carry them as my prize. I really love toys and my favorite game is to grab a tennis ball, squeaky ball, or plush toy and fetch or be chased. Sometimes I entertain myself by chasing a giggle ball around-that's my favorite toy of all. I’m crate trained, but I like to take afternoon naps in my dog bed. My foster home consists of one other dog, and we love to play together. I would do great in a forever home with other dogs or the queen of my own castle. • Applicants must be 21 years or older and must be able to provide proof of age.
• Applicants must be within 50 miles of Memphis.

Approve Application
• Applicants are required to provide personal and vet references. We will be calling these references before approving the application.
3.
Interview
• Applicants will interview with the ALIVE Rescue President first. If approved, you will get to speak to the dogs foster family after.
4.
Home Check
• Applicants will allow an ALIVE representative to come to their home with the dog. At this time you will meet your potential new pup!
5.
Pay Fee
• Currently, the requested donation to adopt a dog from ALIVE Rescue Memphis is $275.00 for an adult and $300 for a puppy.
6.
Sign Adoption Contract
• Once adoption is approved and fees are paid, applicants will sign our ALIVE Rescue adoption Contract to finalize the adoption.
7.
Take the Pet Home
• Welcoming your new family member is the last step, and the best step!
Additional adoption info
• We require an additional $75 training deposit at the time of adoption. You will be required to enroll and complete a training class with your new companion at one of our approved training facilities. Once ALIVE Rescue Memphis receives proof of the completed class, this $75 deposit will be refunded.
• Any current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and be spayed/neutered. Exceptions to this will only be considered if proof of a medical explanation is provided.
• All members of the family living in the home where the animal will be placed must be interviewed.

Whatever makes your current pets, most comfortable.
