Hello, everyone! Meet Sally, a precious Schipperke/Pomeranian mix who has embarked on an incredible journey from the streets of Mexico to find her forever home. Sally's life took a turn for the better when she was rescued by her Angel, and now she finds herself in a new environment with a loving foster dad. Just Paws has promised to find Sally the most amazing forever family, and she can't wait to be showered with love and affection.
Sally is a black beauty, and while her exact breed mix is unknown, she believes she has inherited the best traits from all breeds. At approximately 3-4 years old, this gentle soul weighs a dainty 12lbs (5.5 kilos). As a Schipperke/Pomeranian mix, Sally does shed, so please keep that in mind. But her striking looks and gentle nature make up for any fur maintenance she may require.
When Sally first arrived, she was understandably nervous, scared, and timid. However, under the patient guidance of her foster dad, she has blossomed into a happy, sweet, and friendly girl. She's learning to trust and has discovered the joy of belly rubs while lying on her back. Being petted brings her immense happiness, and she absolutely adores her liver dried treats. Sally has quickly adjusted to house training, impressively avoiding accidents since her arrival.
This little lady enjoys spending time in the backyard, running around, and even experiencing the infamous zoomies! Brushing is not a problem for her, as she appreciates the attention and care. While she may not bark much, Sally's newfound happiness in her new world may lead to a change in that behavior. She walks well on a leash and enjoys her daily strolls, though she can still be a bit nervous around unfamiliar dogs and people.
Sally recently had a heartwarming playdate with her friend Gely, who has already found her forever home. Sally hopes she'll be the next lucky one to find her forever family. She would thrive in a quiet home with a fenced yard where she can relax and bask in the sun. Condos wouldn't suit her well. Sally also believes having another calm small dog as a companion would be delightful but not necessary as she is happy being the only dog. She loved playing with her friends at the Mexican shelter. However, she's not compatible with cats, and it's unknown how she'll interact with children, so older kids (12 and up) would be the best fit.
When Sally's foster dad leaves for a few hours, she remains a good girl, patiently waiting and peacefully sleeping until his return. Her excitement and happiness upon his arrival are truly heartwarming. Sally may initially appear shy and timid, but don't be discouraged, as she yearns for love and affection just like any other furry companion.
Sally's foster dad describes her as a loving and sweet dog who has transformed in the safety of his home. She revels in running around the backyard, finds solace in sleeping peacefully at night, and has flawlessly adapted to house training. Sally cherishes being petted and cuddling up on the couch, and she especially enjoys a tasty chew bone. Her eating habits are excellent too. Sally's beauty and loving nature make her an incredible addition to any family. All it takes is a little patience to allow her a few days to adjust, and she'll reward you with endless love and loyalty in return.
