My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rupert, a dog who has found himself in a hamster rescue! Although his life hasn't been easy so far we are absolutely committed to making sure the rest is just as amazing as he is. At approximately 9 months old this boy is still a puppy who needs a lot of guidance. He is currently in a boarding and training program.

After 1 weeks time his trainer has made the following assessment of him:

So far Rupert has been a quick learner, very motivated, wants to have fun, loves cuddling and playing ball. His main struggles are resisting the urge to hop gates and walls and he really doesn't know how to communicate with other dogs, his signaling is off and misleading to many dogs which can cause conflict. Owner has to be determined to deliver proper fulfillment of physical and mental needs without having to rely on a dog daycare or playdates. He has some very mild separation anxiety but is crate trained, and knows basic commands, leash work is in progress.
He will be an ideal candidate for a young and active owner who likes a comical dog, but also doesn't mind extra maintenance. He will need to be supervised in the yard and walls must be higher then standard. Can be around dogs as long as supervised, will backoff if starting to escalate to a conflict with verbal interruption. Rupert is a lovely dude overall and absolutely deserves a chance at a great new life with loving humans who vow to love him for life.

If you think you'd be a good fit for Rupert and are interested in adopting this handsome boy, reach out and provide a few details about your family and we'll get you scheduled for a phone interview as soon as possible.
