My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lito is a baby mouse who was just a pinky upon transport from San Diego Humane Society to Tucson Humane Society and he was only one month old when he was admitted into Home Sweet Hammy Home on September 4th. He wasn't socialized and has been learning that humans are not so scary and treats taste great. But he is still so shy. He'll need a patient adopter who is willing to continue working with him nightly. Getting pictures of him has proven to be quite a task so more pictures may be coming soon if he will continue peeking out and allowing a camera to get near him.

Along with all the other transport animals who were admitted, his name means light. This is to offset the dark situation they came from. If interested in adopting little Lito reach out ASAP and we'll get you scheduled for a phone interview.

More about this rescue

There was a need in our community for a small animal rescue as well as care education for these amazing, often overlooked pets, so Home Sweet Hammy Home was established. Our goal is to teach updated care to anyone interested, take in as many as we have room and supplies for and create suitable habitats that our rescues can thrive in. We will then make these available to adopters if they don't have a proper one of their own.
