My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leroy’s fee is WAIVED. Apply at www.brasscityrescue.org

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to Leroy - the charming, clever, and cuddly dog that is sure to steal your heart! Leroy is a 4-year-old male Cattle Dog Mix with an adorable face and a solid build of 50 pounds. He may have had a tough time as a stray, but his resilience and friendly nature are a testament to his strong character. Just one look into his soulful eyes and you'll see that this playful pup is full of love and ready to be your constant companion.

Leroy's activity level is on the higher side, so get ready for some fun adventures with this active boy! He loves to play and will make sure you never have a dull moment. But don't worry, he knows when it's time to cuddle up and be a cuddle bug. Leroy is an expert at balancing play and rest, making him the perfect dog for any active household.

This quirky little guy is a social butterfly but weird with men sometimes and loves the company of other dogs. He's always up for a playdate and would do well with a companion animal in the house. While he loves kids, he's best suited for older children as he may try to herd them around with his natural cattle dog instincts. Oh, he dislikes car rides. He loves to get in the rescue van but he grows cement feet when we want to take him for a hike or pup cup. Poor thing is afraid to be left again!

One thing's for sure, Leroy has a heart of gold and is affectionate to the core. He'll happily shower you with love, cuddles, and sloppy kisses all day long. He'll win you over with his charming personality and happy-go-lucky attitude.

If you're looking for an adorable, friendly, and quirky pup to bring into your home, Leroy is your guy! He's ready to be your best friend, constant companion, and most importantly, a member of your family. Don't miss out on the chance to give this sweet boy the loving home he deserves. Come down to the shelter and meet Leroy today - you won't regret it!

More about this rescue

Our goal is to help the animals and citizens that need us.
Our reach is far, wide and we do our best to never refuse aid. Through education, support and life saving,we hope to make a difference in Connecticut.

We strive to get as many dogs adopted as possible via our rescue. We have our own dog shelter and hold weekend adoption events to find forever homes for our pups. We provide veterinary care, behavioral assessments and training to make each animal successful in its new forever home. Though we no longer adopt cats out, we do assist other local rescues in the networking of homeless cats, including trapping and trap-neuter-release.

We collect food, toys and other needs for our rescued dogs including veterinary donations for their care while in rescue. We network for dogs at local shelters and lend a hand to our rescue friends whenever we can. We also advocate for the well being of the dogs and their living conditions and strive to better improve the long standing customer service issues at many Connecticut Animal Control facilities. We also help the public with questions, training, referrals to veterinarians etc. Through constant media promotion and proper assessments of the dogs, we hope to save as many lives as possible in our day to day mission.

This RESCUE group is CT registered and has APPROVED 501(c)3 status with the Internal Revenue Service. All donations to Brass City Rescue Alliance are tax deductible.
