Marian Paroo would make an excellent librarian. She's quiet, calm, intelligent and probably knows a lot about 20th century literature... and musicals! Marian came to us with Nancy Sinatra, and both were a little frightened at first, or maybe they were just perturbed over the accommodations. They started to relax when they got a bigger, fancier room (aka the kitten room, then adult colonies). These 2-year-old ladies are getting more and more comfy every day, but still love to hunker down in cozy hiding spots.
Marian would like a calm, quiet place with folks who will be patient while she gets used to her new surroundings. She would likely be fine with other calm, non-territorial cats, dogs and respectful kiddos, but hyper or loud ones may scare her. Once she knows you're a friend, she loves to get pets and scratches!
Marian is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. To give this sweet star the home she deserves, fill out an application at www.secondchanceas.org/adopt or at the sanctuary any time we're open. Call 570-376-3646 with any questions.

4.
Meet the Pet
This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.
