My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*Name: Jack

*Age: 6 years old

*Current Weight: approx. 70 lbs

*Rescued from: Texas

*Adoption fee: $400 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information)

*Health: Up to date on vaccines, & microchipped

*Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older,

Jack was taken in by a very kind husband and wife, in a rural area of Texas, where there is no help for homeless animals. With there being no local animal shelter, The couple took in over 40 dogs to keep them from starving on the streets. When the husband passed away and his wife fell ill, SNARR NE was asked to help out with the placement of the dogs.

Jack is a perfect 6yrs young, weighing in a about 74lbs. He is a big baby who thinks he belongs in all humans laps. He loves butt scratches and head rubs. He is great with cats. Jack has a hearty appetite and will steal food off of the counter (keep loafs of bread out of site). He is not a fan of sharing his food and thinks all bowls belong to him so feeding separate from his mates is best. He absolutely loves to play in the water and will find any puddle to splash around in. He is an older gentleman who "thinks" he is set in his ways, he will back talk (low grumble) when he does not want to do something you are making him do however, he will reluctantly get over it and do as told. Jack is coming from a home with many dogs and adores his female friends, males ehhh... not so much. He will gladly go on a leash but is excited to explore and strong, so please hold on for the ride. With a bit of correction and consistency this will be remedied. He is a pretty calm dog with spurts of energy so a family with a moderate activity level would ideal for this sweet man. Jack is a big strong man with large paws, he thinks belong on you or in your lap, so probably no children under 10. If you think you can provide this sweet boy a safe place to lay his head and puddle splash please submit an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/

IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled.

FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING

All adoption fees are non-refundable

Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing:

LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records.

SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. **

MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors.

APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application.
