Meet Jethro

Jethro is a 1-year-old hound mix with soulful eyes and the sweetest heart. He didn’t have the best start in life—he was found chained outside and abandoned by his previous owners—but despite that, Jethro is nothing but friendly, gentle, and full of love.

This sweet boy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, making him a great addition to a multi-pet home. He’s affectionate, eager to please, and so grateful for kindness. Now safe in a loving foster home, Jethro is finally getting the chance he always deserved.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
