MEET BUBBLES!
This petite beagle is named Bubbles! At around 7 years old, Bubbles found her way to the rescue after being brought to Philly's animal control shelter as a stray along with two other beagles. Although the shelter was able to track down the dogs' owner, they decided not to reclaim them. On to bigger and better things!
Bubbles is a sweet, sensitive girl. It's believed that she and the other found dogs were used for breeding so we're not sure what kind of environment she came from. She can be jumpy and sometimes appears afraid of her own shadow, but still remains a sweet, gentle girl who loves to spend time with her humans. She'd benefit from a quieter home with a family who is ready to be patient and allow her to settle in at her own pace. We have no doubt her adorable bouncy personality will continue to progress.
Bubbles is currently in foster care where she is living with small and large dogs and cats! She gets along with them all wonderfully. She loves to snuggle up on the couch with the other animals and also loves to romp around and play chase with her larger foster dog brother. We think she would benefit from going home with another friendly, confident dog who can continue to help her open up and shine! She is crate trained and actually enjoys going in her crate when she wants quiet time. She is doing well in her housebreaking though may have some accidents while adjusting to a new home and new schedule. Because she is a beagle afterall, Bubbles has proven to love to roam while following scents. She'd do best in a home where she won't be left outdoors unattended so requires a yard with a fence or a home where she goes on leashed walks.
Bubbles is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She recently had a full veterinary work up, was spayed and received a dental cleaning. She is vaccinated and microchipped.
