Kaper is an incredibly sweet and smart dog. She is 8 years old (turning 9 on Aug 21), AKC registe and still full of energy, but also loves to lounge around the house on lazy days. She was a show dog for 3 years before retiring to have puppies. We adopted her when she was 4. She absolutely adores people, especially kids. She loves water. She is the absolute best dog on the leash, so much so that our 5 year old usually handles her when we go on walks. Because she was a show dog, she was never obedience trained and still struggles sometimes when we tell her to sit or lay down. She usually goes into the downward dog position instead. We are looking for a home that will love her and be able to give her all the attention she deserves. It kills us to have to adopt her out, but we have an overseas move ahead of us and we've decided this is the best choice. She will come with all her genetic testing paperwork that I acquired when adopting her. She is truly the best dog and deserves the best.
