My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Opal is a sweet 5-6 year old chihuahua mix girl who weighs about 9 lbs. She came to us from Animal Rescue Corps that saved her from a hoarding situation (operation daylight save).

She has done so well transitioning to a new environment she van be shy and reserved first, but after she gains comfort she is friendly and social. She gets along well with other dogs and currently lives with dogs from 4 lbs - 60 lbs.

She was initially very cautious around her 4 yr old human foster brother and would bark at him from a distance. After a couple of days she began to accept him and is now existing with him fine. We probably wouldn't recommend her as a family pet for the kids, but we think she could accept visiting children as long as they respected her space.

Opal's adoption donation of $325 helps cover the cost of her vet care. On top of her routine vetting-;spay, vaccines, microchips, 4DX, fecal testing- she received a full dental cleaning.

Application, reference checks, and home visit required. Adopters must live 1.5 hours driving distance from Romeoville, IL. For more information on adopting, please email us at info@perfectpooches.org.
