My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mandy arrived at the refuge in September 2011, and initially, she was very scared and shy. Many years have since passed, and with time Mandy has grown more at ease around people, having gradually learning to trust again. In 2020, Many underwent surgery to remove a large tumor, and sadly this resulted in a necessary medial amputation of on of her hind legs. But Mandy persevered yet again, adapting to her new reality and taking it all in stride. This gentle, calm girl would greatly benefit from a patient human friend committed to providing a quiet, supportive home she’s waited so many years to find. We know that with the right amount of love and understanding, Mandy will make a gentle, easy-going companion for a very lucky family. Approx. DOB: 05/01/2011

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
