My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stella came to ARC from a shelter that was out of space. She has been through a lot, going from one shelter to another, but she has adjusted nicely. She is a gentle kitty that does not mind being petted and stroked. She has recently started spending most of her time lounging on the screened in area where she can watch what is going on. She now welcomes volunteers and their attention. She has settled in nicely. Come meet this beautiful feline, spend a little time with her and see what a loving companion she will make!

More about this rescue

The Animal Refuge Center (ARC) of Fort Myers is a not for profit animal welfare society dedicated to stopping the escalating cost to impound, care for, kill and dispose of dogs and cats dying for no reason other than having been born. ARC is helping to cut the large numbers of homeless animals which eventually cuts the costs to taxpayers, which to date has reached over half a million dollars a year.

ARC is a non-euthanasia organization. Once we accept an animal for adoption, IT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED TO MAKE ROOM FOR ANOTHER. We are here to help the unwanted and neglected animals who now face certain death.
