My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mickey! This big baby is a total love bug. He has won over the hearts of the staff and volunteers with his sweet nature. He is a little reserved around new people. He quickly opens up on long leisurely walks, and a couple of treats are always helpful. This guy is a little hard of hearing sometimes, so he won't have to cover his ears when you sing loudly off-key. However, he can hear a bag of treats being opened. Maybe it's selective... ;)
Mickey is waiting for his forever home.

Mickey was surrendered to the shelter because his former owners could not afford his health care. He walks well on a leash. He is shy so, because of this, we recommend no younger children. He has not shown well with cats here at the shelter, so we recommend he not go to a home with cats.

Mickey is microchipped, neutered, and up to date on all his age-appropriate vaccines and preventatives. Since being with us for more than 6 months, we consider him one our Lonely Hearts which makes his adoption fee only $20.
