My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goblin!
This man is the biggest sweetheart. Despite being 12, Gobi is young at heart. He loves romping in the woods and meeting new people. Gobi adores everyone. He enjoys many things including sniffy walks, cushy bedding, and head rubs. His absolute favorite hobby, however, is taste-testing new treats. He'd be the perfect kitchen companion. There will be no need for a vacuum cleaner. We are in search of a loving home to adore and love on this special man. Please ask us about this loving gentleman today! Take a chance on him. Take a chance on love.

We try our best to be as transparent as possible for the safety of all pets and people and we of course do not want to set any pet up for failure. We love them as our own. Gobi unfortunately tried to go after his former foster's dog. In an attempt to prevent Goblin from attacking the other dog, the foster was bitten by Gobi. We understand that all bites must be taken seriously, and we do just that.
We spent much time going over all of his past experiences and we felt he deserved another chance. The bite happened the very same night he went into the foster home with multiple other dogs. We know the foster had the best of intentions and a generous heart to take in a new animal, but we can only imagine how overwhelmed Goblin was also feeling. He did not intend to bite the human. That part was an unfortunate mistake.
There are many dogs who just can't live with other dogs. If we felt he was a danger outside of this, he would be humanely euthanized. Gobi has been shown to have a very sweet and friendly nature, and we know he will make a wonderful pet to someone who can look past this. Gobi has done well with other friendly dogs, but we recommend that he go to a home with no other dogs due to showing some resource to his person and to prevent anymore incidents involving other dogs in the future.

For safety due to his age and arthritis pain, even though he did fantastic with children, we are recommending no children in the home under the age of 13. Also, he has developed arthritis. Due to this, he cannot live in a home with more than 2-3 steps. Gobi is neutered and microchipped.
