Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - MARILYN
BREED - Cocker Spaniel
SIZE - About 25 pounds
AGE - 5-6 years
GENDER - female
MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known
BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Marilyn is a precious girl who deserves every opportunity to become a cherished pet! This sweet girl, until now, has been a breeder's dog, and has likely been a mother more times than we care to know about. Imagine living that life, even in the hands of a "respectable" breeder. It's time for this lovely lady to know what it means to be loved and cherished! At just under six years of age, she has a lifetime left to be loved and spoiled! Will that be by you? Fully grown at just 25 pounds, she is a perfect size for most homes! She's in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She would fit well into a quiet, predictable home with a loving adopter. She's learning to walk well on a leash, but a private, fenced yard would provide a safe place to exercise and play with her new family. We would love to find an adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this amazing dog! A younger retired family would be awesome as would a home without larger pets or small children.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet
inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
