SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Samantha is a doll baby! Not only is she absolutely adorable, but she is super sweet.. She's a quiet, gentle soul that is such joy to share time with. Samantha came to us recently from a rescue in NC who had taken her in from a breeder. We know nothing else about her. Her foster reports that Samantha is a bit shy and timid but she is new to her foster's home. She gets along well, though is pretty indifferent, to the other dogs in the home. Samantha enjoys playing in the yard, napping in her "space" (she has claimed her crate as her space), being carried around and appears to be housebroken. She is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. And a wonderful dog deserves a perfect home! So we are seeking a home with an adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this sweet girl! A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give her room to run and play. Samantha is not well suited to small children, or to the elderly as she could pose a trip and fall risk. A quiet, predictable home with a young retiree would be just about perfect!
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
