Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Poppy is a very sweet Yorkie mix who arrived a couple of weeks ago. We thought she was 3 years old so of course we did have a lot of people inquire about her. But when we brought her to the vet we did find out she is closer to 8-9 years old.
She had a heart murmur so we had x-rays taken and found that she does have an enlarged heart. We did start her on medication and she is doing well, but she will need to stay on the medication.
Poppy has been spayed, is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. She is very friendly and just wants to be with her person. She likes both men and women. Because of her heart issue and she is a small girl we don't want her to go to a home with small children. She would do best in a quiet home where someone would be home with her most of the time.
She is fine with other dogs in her foster home but she does not really like dogs when she meets them walking on a leash. She would do great as an only dog since she would love all the attention.
She is housebroken and walks well on a leash. She really just needs a short walk or two during the day due to her heart issue.
If you are interested in this sweet girl an application can be found at www.homesfurhounds.org. She is located in Williamsburg, Va.
