My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie 2 and her best buddy Sara were surrendered to the rescue in the summer of 2023, and at first, they both were very fearful and heartbroken at having lost the only family they’d ever known. Under the loving care of the staff at the Goathouse, both Sophie and Sara have begun to shed some of their shyness, and we hope to find them a wonderful, true forever home where they can live out their golden years. These senior beauties would love nothing more than a sunny, quiet space to call their own, with a family seeking two very sweet, gentle companions.

More about this rescue

Siglinda Scarpa is a potter and a sculpter who owns 3 acres of fenced-in property in which she houses up to 258 homeless cats. The Refuge is a sanctuary for these cats, who never have to leave, but if they are adoptable, the cats are posted on our website and taken to adoption events in the community. The more cats that we find homes for, the more cats we can rescue.
