Introducing Ravioli!

This ~3 year old Havanese was rescued from a puppy mill. She’s shy but the most forward of her group, wagging her tail to greet us and coming up looking for treats already. She LOVES other dogs and is a follower, so a home with at least one more confident and friendly dog is a MUST for her. Everything about living in a real home is new and foreign to her- walking on a leash, housebreaking, having toys, and being loved- and she will need some patience as she adjusts and learns to live her best life outside of a cage. Ravioli is a bigger Havanese at 18lbs: if we weren’t told she was a Havanese we would have thought she was a schnauzer/wire haired doxie mix. (We just really really really obsessively love schnauzers and wire haired doxies, so we see them in our mind all the time… dogs, cats, bunnies, Guinea pigs, basically any fuzzy and cute creature resemble them. But this one really actually objectively looks like one for real 😝 Just wait til her eyebrows and beard grow in! 🤤

Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
