SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Morgan is a wonderful fellow who recently came to us from a local shelter. He is likely 3-4 years old, and is fully grown at just under 20 pounds. This happy guy loves to run and play, loves chew toys, and everyone he meets. We have a sense that he may have spent a good bit of time outside and will need to brush up on his inside manners, but an adopter who is at home during the day will have great success with consistency. Morgan is a perfect size for most homes and would do very well with an active adopter. He's in good health, and will be neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated as a part of our adoption process. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give Morgan lots of room to run and play. He may not be well suited to small children or very small dogs who could be upset by his enthusiasm, but will fit nicely into many other homes.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
