Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thelma Lou is such a sweet girl with an unfortunate start to life. She was thankfully found by a technician from Summit Veterinary Hospital, on the brink of a heat stroke at 6 weeks of age. It turns out that right after she found, what was supposed to be, her forever home, she was dumped. She has been around dogs and cats and has done well with both as she just wants to play. She has also done well with kids. Please consider Thelma Lou to be apart of your family. Please contact us or Summit Veterinary Hospital (979) 315-1999 for more information on her!
Thelma Lou is spayed and microchipped. She is current on all vaccines, dewormed, and heartworm negative.
Our adoption process begins with you meeting Thelma Lou. Feel free to schedule a play date with her and your existing dog(s). After you fill out an application, we will verify your references and do a brief home inspection. If all goes well, we will deliver Thelma Lou to you for a small adoption fee. We then ask that you sign our adoption contract. We will do a follow-up visit approximately two weeks to one month after the adoption to ensure that Thelma Lou is adjusting well to her new home and that she is happy and healthy.
We feel our adoption process is the best way to vet good owners and to guard against people seeking dogs for dog fighting, bait dogs, and/or dog sales. We only have our rescue dogs' best interest in mind and we do everything we can to ensure that they go to the very best home and that it's the perfect fit.
