My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Junie, aka Junebug, is looking for a calm, adult home where she can snuggle, snore, and enjoy the good life. In return, she promises to keep you safe and love you forever. Junie is house trained and well behaved when left alone in the home (she does occasionally steal shoes). She is a total bed hog and cover thief. She absolutely loves the dogs and humans in her pack, but has a strong guard instinct on her own turf and strangers will likely be greeted with the biggest-sounding bark she can muster. For this reason she needs an adult home with a secure fence and not a lot of new faces coming in and out, as she needs to meet guests outside and individually at first to know they are on the ‘approved' list. Junie is not a fan of cats, and will not put them on her ‘approved' list. She likes kids but can sometimes become overwhelmed by them, which is why we are recommending an adult home. She has done wonderfully with other dogs of all ages and sizes, and loves to play with her canine companions, but may require a slow introduction to new dogs, especially in her own space.

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
