My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you ready to add a bundle of joy, energy, and love to your family? Look no further than Callie, a delightful 9-year-old large breed dog who is ready to steal your heart with her fetching skills and affectionate nature. Callie is not just any ordinary dog; she's a tennis ball fetching champion! Her enthusiasm for playtime knows no bounds. Whether it's a game of fetch in the park or chasing toys around the yard, Callie is always up for an adventure. But don't let her sporty side fool you-she's also a pro at snuggling! There's nothing she loves more than spending quality time with her favorite humans, cuddled up on the couch watching TV, getting belly rubs, and sharing sweet kisses.

Callie is no stranger to the hustle and bustle of family life. She previously lived in an apartment with small children and other dogs, so she's accustomed to the joyful chaos of a lively household. While she's generally friendly towards everyone she meets, she does prefer slow introductions to other dogs, especially when on leash or with barriers between them. Callie is a smart cookie who is potty trained and knows how to communicate her needs effortlessly. A simple touch of the doorknob lets you know she's ready for outdoor adventures. Plus, she's kennel trained and perfectly content to lounge around with her toys, even if the door is left open.

When it comes to furry companions, Callie has one rule: if you're not a human, you might as well be a tennis ball to chase! She's not a fan of cats or squirrels and will eagerly pursue them with the same determination she puts into her fetching games. Callie is a loving, playful, and easy-going companion who would make a perfect addition to any family. Whether you're looking for a fetching partner, a snuggle buddy, or a loyal friend, Callie is ready to be by your side through thick and thin. Are you ready to welcome her into your home and heart? If you're interested in making Callie a part of your family, don't hesitate to reach out. She's waiting to bring endless joy and love into your life!

Additional adoption info

Adoption Process
We have an open adoption policy, so there is no application or interview process. We simply ask that you meet the pet in person before adoption. We have adoption specialists that will help you find the right pet for your family.

Adoption Center
The Adoption Center is located at 7500 N. Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. Our Adoption Center is a totally new concept in Oklahoma City where dogs have comfortable, expanded kennels and cats stay in “living rooms” with furniture and toys.

Pets by Appointment
Some amazing dogs get stressed out in a kennel environment like our Adoption Center, and much prefer staying at their foster home until they find their new family. If you see a dog on our website that says “E-Mail to Meet Me” that means that this furry friend is just a click away from getting a ride to the Adoption Center to meet you in person.

Adoption Fees
Adult dogs are $150 to adopt, puppies are $200 to adopt, adult cats are $75 to adopt and kittens are $95 to adopt. All of our pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, treated with all age-appropriate vaccinations and flea, tick, and heartworm preventative prior to being cleared for adoption, so we put a lot of effort and monetary investment into each of our animals including a two-week quarantine period in a foster home. These adoption fees help cover the costs of our animals’ health and well-being!
