My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoey is a 10 year old front declawed very sweet girl (born approximately 3/28/2013). She is a beautiful torbie with rich ginger and brown colors and a white chin and striking green eyes.

She originally came to Reuben’s Room as a young cat after her first owner died. She was then adopted by another kind lady for the last six years. Unfortunately her adopter recently went into hospice care and Zoey has found herself looking for new forever home for the third time in her ten years. She is a resilient cat though and we know she will thrive in a new loving home.

Zoey was also known affectionately as Zoey Bear by some of our volunteers who cared for her before she was last adopted. She will most likely hide for a bit in her new home but once she realizes that she is safe she will become very loving and will enjoy sitting on your lap and will even sleep with you if that is something that you would like.

While she hasn’t lived with other animals in the recent past, her previous family thinks she would do fine with another gentle cat with a slow, proper introduction but she would likely do well as an only cat too. It also seems like she would be fine with children that are respectful of cat boundaries as she is a very, sweet, gentle soul.

Zoey enjoys being brushed which will provide a good bonding opportunity for her new family. She loves watching the birds so she will appreciate a home with windows where she can gaze at them from the comfort of her inside only home.
