This adorable senior came to us with the most mismatched name ever- Monster 👹. Really?!For a super friendly happy 12 year old mostly toothless dog with a face like that that dances on his hind legs for attention!? We have quite a few dogs who answer to their more fitting nicknames of Monster, but it definitely doesn’t suit this happy dude.

We are changing his name to Snuggle Monster and he is just that! This social butterfly was one of 4 senior dogs given up when their owner could no longer care for them. He doesn’t act his age and is a happy active guy who also loves to cuddle, and gets playful with other dogs. He is a bit Frankenstein’s Monster in the looks department and we aren’t quite sure what his mix is… he has the teeny tiny little face and head of a Maltese but the wrong body attached. He is a chunky 16lbs with long legs. He can be a bit vocal but it’s just because he wants you to pay attention to him- he doesn’t seem to know he’s a senior and except for having so few remaining teeth he could pass for half his age.

Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
