Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌟 Meet Currant Bun! 🌟

Currant Bun is a sweet and gentle soul who brings a touch of warmth to any room. Slightly more reserved than his spirited brothers, he finds solace in the peaceful nooks behind his cozy cardboard box bed. His favorite crunchy banana treats and the joy he derives from munching on kale add a delightful touch to his endearing personality.

If you're looking for a furry friend who brings a dash of sweetness and a sprinkle of charm into your life, Currant Bun is the perfect match. With his loving nature and unique quirks, he's ready to hop into your heart and make your home even brighter. Come meet Currant Bun to discover the joy of sharing your life with such a lovable Bunny! 🐰💖

More about this shelter

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
