My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐇 Meet Honey Bun! 🍯

Honey Bun is a charming and inquisitive rabbit with a personality as sweet as his name! This adventurous bunny has an insatiable curiosity, always eager to approach people and explore his surroundings. Honey Bun has a clever side too - he's figured out that an open door means a chance to hop out of his enclosure for a closer look around the room.

Honey has recently been living in Foster with with a cat, a dog and four children -- and he is thriving! He is absolutely perfect at using his litter box (which means he can be part free roam in a house) and is very considerate and happy when he gets to explore a whole room.

Do you think YOU could be Honey Bun person? Here are some ways to find out:

1. Visit our BCSPCA Surrey Education and Adoption Centre located at 16748 50 Ave, Surrey, to meet Honey Bun, learn more about their ideal match and apply to adopt in person; or

2. Submit an online application https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/application-forms/ and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions, we will only be contacting potential adopters to further review their interest.

Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
