Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Ranger! 🐾
🍂 Picked up in Fall 2022, Ranger has been our "stay in the background" guy at the shelter. He's a gentle soul who tries to avoid any conflict and prefers the quiet moments in life. Despite his shyness, Ranger is incredibly loving and has warmed up well with our staff. Cecilia even taught him how to sit, showcasing his willingness to learn and his eagerness to please. 🐾
🎂 We estimate Ranger to be around 2 to 3 years old, still in the prime of his life. A trip to the vet showed us his exceptional behavior - he rode like a champ and was on his best behavior, proving he's a well-mannered fellow. Ranger is also a leash pro, making walks a breeze, and he truly comes alive during one-on-one time. Away from the hustle and bustle, he blossoms and shows his true colors. 🌸
While he hasn't been neutered yet, Ranger's gentle and calm nature makes us believe he could be a great companion for families with both older and younger children. His meek disposition is a true gem! We can't vouch for his feline friends just yet, but Ranger doesn't display any strong prey instincts, so we have hope that he could coexist peacefully with cats.
In biblical terms, we see Ranger as a meek spirit who's ready to find his forever home and possibly inherit a piece of the Earth with the right family. If you're seeking a loving, calm, and loyal companion, Ranger is the one for you! ❤️
Drop by the shelter to meet Ranger and experience his heartwarming presence. Let's help Ranger find the loving home he truly deserves!

More about this shelter
All dogs are in care of the city ACO & dedicated volunteers. Although we are a kill shelter, we are very proud to say we have not had to euthanize since 2012! We hope to keep that streak alive as we find new homes for all of our wonderful residents.
