AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - GRADY

BREED - Shih Tzu mix
SIZE - About 15 pounds
AGE - 10+ years
GENDER - Male
MEDICAL CONCERNS - None known
BEHAVIOR CONCERNS - None known
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Grady is a lovely dog! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and very affectionate. We believe Grady to be somewhere just past ten years of age, which for a small dog can be middle aged. He is about 15 pounds and super cute! Grady is in great health but does have limited vision, likely due to having dry eyes. While an antibiotic eye drop may be necessary if his eyes are not kept clean and lubricated, he does very well with twice a day cleaning and lubricating drops. Grady is a perfect size for most homes, and would be a great companion to an older but independent person. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We are seeking a home with an adopter who has the ability to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with this sweet boy. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give Grady room to exercise and potty safely. Grady is not well suited to small children who could accidentally hurt him.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
