My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dre

DRE
BREED: Terrier cross
AGE: 3 years old
WEIGHT: 22 lbs.

Dre is a fun little dude. What he lacks in stature, he makes up for in coolness.
LIKES: playing with toys, zoomies, playing with foster pup friends - and treats, of course!

DISLIKES: He is fussy about being crated, but will eventually quiet down.
Dre is learning to be a proper indoor dude, and is LOVING it. He has not exhibited any bad behaviors, with the exception of wanting to mark in a new environment - belly bands will be the key for his new home to continue his training until it’s no longer a “thing” for him.
Dre is nervous when first meeting new people, and will need some time to warm up (a day or two). He would do well with a family who is able to give him this initial time and patience while he acclimates to his new home. We also recommend a home with gentle, older, children.
Being adopted into a home without a lot of stairs will do wonders for Dre’s short legs and low-rider stature. Over time, his little body will thank you for it!
Dre will make a fantastic companion! We are so excited for him to find his forever home.

To further inquire about DRE, click on the link to submit an application. Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how DRE will mesh with your lifestyle.
Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.
Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family.
We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for DRE, as well as his future family.

Additional adoption info

The process for adoption through our rescue begins with the adoption application. Once accepted, a meet and greet with the dogs is arranged and includes everyone in the family including other pets. If the dog seems like a good fit, he/she is brought to the home where the dog will be living to make sure it is an appropriate home....ie. dog friendly, fenced yard, etc. Finally, an adoption agreement is signed to insure that the adopter understands what is expected of them.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs are in foster homes prior to finding their forever homes. Please contact us if you see a dog you'd like to meet. We also participate in adoption events at local pet stores.

More about this rescue

Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is located in Eugene, Oregon. We focus mainly on small dogs that we rescue from the high kill shelters in California. We depend on foster families to help socialize and train the dogs prior to placing them in a forever home. We are focused on saving as many lives as possible!
