My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NAME: Iggy

BREED: Terrier mix

AGE: 5 years old

WEIGHT: 13 lbs.

LIKES: Iggy likes other dogs and loves playing with the big dog in his foster home. He loves his people and loves getting pets. He is sweet and funny and a delightful dog. He loves looking out the window at the goings on outside. Iggy loves going on walks and hikes. He loves his stuffed animals.

DISLIKES: Iggy is wary of strangers or strange noises. He can be protective of his people. He has been doing well with cues from the other dogs in his foster home and is doing better greeting people he doesn't know. Once he gets acquainted, he is amazing with people.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Iggy is the best “greeter” and gets very excited when his people come home. He is very observant and notices EVERYTHING. Iggy would do best in a home with teens and adults, and with people who are experienced with terriers and their BIG personalities. Iggy should only go to a home with confident, dog-savvy, cats or no cats.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Potty trained in his foster home.

EXTRA: Iggy does not love his crate, but will go in it when left home alone. You’ll find that he will vocalize his protest of crate time when his people are gone, making apartment living a less than ideal option for all involved. Iggy has shown no destructive tendencies in his foster home, making him a bit of a gentleman and sweetheart to have around.

Would an eager, adventure seeking, likes to be on the move little dude fit into your life? Iggy just might be “the one”!

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for XXX, as well as HIS/HER future family.

Additional adoption info

The process for adoption through our rescue begins with the adoption application. Once accepted, a meet and greet with the dogs is arranged and includes everyone in the family including other pets. If the dog seems like a good fit, he/she is brought to the home where the dog will be living to make sure it is an appropriate home....ie. dog friendly, fenced yard, etc. Finally, an adoption agreement is signed to insure that the adopter understands what is expected of them.

Go meet their pets

All our dogs are in foster homes prior to finding their forever homes. Please contact us if you see a dog you'd like to meet. We also participate in adoption events at local pet stores.

More about this rescue

Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue is located in Eugene, Oregon. We focus mainly on small dogs that we rescue from the high kill shelters in California. We depend on foster families to help socialize and train the dogs prior to placing them in a forever home. We are focused on saving as many lives as possible!
